I have been absent for several days because we have moved to Ruidoso, NM for the summer months. We left OKC last Thursday, June 3rd. We drove both cars because the pickup was needed to haul my scooter. With the scooter in the pickup we didn't have room for all the other stuff that we were carrying to NM. Plus I didn't want to drive the pickup all summer.
Don is in front of me in the pickup and we are near Weatherford.
Entering Texas
My windshield is so dirty can't see the sign for the race track and casino.
After 10 1/2 hrs, 4 or 5 potty stops, lunch, gas and a Sonic we made it.
The house was in good shape but the yard had tall grass and all the plants were greener than usual.
Hot pokers are just starting to bloom. They are beautiful!
We have been working in the yard, walking each morning, cleaning the house, doing some maintenance on our geocaches, hide 2 new caches, visited with neighbors, set the skunk trap and watched the NBA basketball games.
I told Don tonight that I was going back to OKC so I didn't have to work so hard. It has been unusually warm the last few days but should cool a little this weekend.
