Aloha from Kauai!!

Each day we worked out and these are some pictures after our workout.  We were trying to cool down. Each day at 9:00 the resort feed their Koi fish and their was a big crowd to watch. They had hundreds of Koi and they were hungry.

On Wednesday we drove up towards Wailua Falls and Kapaa as we drove we hunted for geocaches along the way. We found 10 along this drive along with some great views.

This is the river across from the falls. They kayak and water ski down it.

This is the famous Coco Palms. It was destroyed by the 1992 hurricane that hit Kauai and was never repaired.  Anyone know what it is famous for?

After dinner we were setting on the beach looking at the homes on the cliff and a cruise ship leaving the port.

On Thursday we were on a quest for a geocache on a back road. It lead us to a beautiful beach (Shipwreck Beach) along with a lot of people. It had rained a couple of days and the dirt road was full of large pot holes that were filled with water. We probably shouldn't have attempted it in our little 2-wheeled car but we did it slowwwwwwwly. These were the views we found along with seven caches & a protected monk seal. The seal had a area taped off so it wouldn't be disturbed.

Then we headed to Poipu to find a few caches and it took us to a huge succulent garden and the Spouting Horn(one of the famous blowholes).

Friday we headed out towards Waimea Canyon. First we went into the little town of Waimea and had our Subway sandwich at a park where we found the monument for Captain Cook's landing in Hawaii in 1778(this was a virtual cache).

Then we headed to the canyon. It has two roads and we took the back one(because we missed the first one). We were very lucky today because the canyon was clear with no clouds to obstruct the view.

Having some trouble loading pictures so will work on this tomorrow.
