A Walk around the Lake

Got up eager to walk around the lake this morning.  The sun was out and shining bright and the wind was low. Headed out with my Buddy Runner app on my phone to measure my mileage, time, pace and mapping.  I planned on walking about 4 miles.

The morning was so pleasant I decided that I was going to walk 6 miles instead for 4.  I daydreamed quite a bit but also was thinking about the EnergizerBunny application that I had turned in yesterday to write a blog about the Susan G Komen walk in Dallas.  They are choosing one walker at each of the venues to blog for their company.  They also are going to donate the $2300 for that person to walk.  I think the bloggers will be chosen by June 5th. Do I have a chance?  I wonder?

Hard to see in this picture but there were two turtles on the bank on the other side of the water.

As I walked back to the car I had the lake on the west side of me and the busy lake highway on the east side.

This little lighthouse sets out on the point surrounded by water and watches over the lake.

Several good restaurants have opened on the lake off of Britton Road.

Hopefully I am only going to be a shadow of myself when this is all over.  I plan on losing some more weight.
