Yes, I have a cellar(fraidy hole)in my garage.
Yes, Oklahoma has been lucky so far this spring season.
But our luck ran out today.
This was near Yukon and was coming our way.
When it got close I pulled Abby out from under the bed and we headed to the cellar. Don had moved the pickup up so when we needed to get in it we could. Abby was shaking the whole time. I had my HTC Incredible phone tuned to a fm radio station and we closed the cellar door. They had spotted tornadoes at Memorial & May & Penn(a mile from us). We waited for about 15 minutes & after not hearing any freight trains we decided we still had a garage. Thank goodness. Better safe than sorry though, right!
Moore and Norman weren't quite as lucky. Large tornadoes and major damage at Lake Thunderbird and 1-35 & Choctaw Rd.. Hail as large as softballs in Moore. Tally for tornadoes was 10, 5 fatalities and millions of $ of damage.
The tornado season has started.
