Christopher is Playing Football

Why do boys play football?

Well, I think you have to be a boy to know the real answer to that question.

As an aunt, I am going to tell you why I think they do. They like to hit people, act tough & get dirty!!

It doesn’t matter why Chris is playing football I’m just glad he is. I’m glad I get to go and watch him, I’m glad he likes it, I’m glad he gets to play.

Chris was able to change schools this year and it has made a world of difference in him. He is going to Crossings Christian School. He is the only Junior boy with 4 girls. He likes school, he is involved, he is an upper classman, he is somebody!! Unlike how he felt last year. It is so good to see him happy.

I hope everyone that reads this knows that this is how I see it. It may be completely different in his eyes but I think I can read him pretty good.

He has lost 80 lbs, started working out with a trainer last spring, started taking guitar lesson, & has a girlfriend & lots of friends at school. It has been fun for me to see his confidence grow.

Chris football

I have gone to two football games so far. These pictures were taken at the first game with Casady a much larger school than CCS. Chris’ team plays JV this year and will play Varsity next year.

He sprain his ankle before the first game but let it rest for a week or so and then was back at it. He always plays on special teams & he played center at the game against Casady and played defense this last game.

Chris is #75 in these pictures.

Two weeks ago in a game with only 2 minutes left he sprain the ankle again. It was very bad and has been on crutches for two weeks. He will miss the rest of the season.

I’m really proud of you Chris and keep it up. Get involved and have some pride in your school!!!

Ohhhhhhhhhh by the way, Chris. When can I expect a phone call from you telling me you took that driver’s license test. I’m waiting!!!!!!!!!!!!!
