How many contest have I entered? How many times have I filled out my name, address and phone number to win something? More than I can count.
How many times have you filled out a entry to win something?
Does anyone ever win those contest? Have you know anyone that has won a contest?
I did win a tennis outfit in a drawing when I was playing tennis. That has been about twenty years ago.
I have won a few t-shirts.
I have won small amounts of money at the slot machine. I think the most has been about forty dollars.
BUT I HIT THE JACKPOT TODAY!!!!!
No, I didn’t win millions in the Lottery. I wish I had.
But I did win a $500 shopping spree at KFOR Rise & Shine/4W Western(in Stockyards) Surprise Your Style facebook contest!!!!
Yesterday while I was out walking Abby, I had a call that Don answered. He told me a lady called about a contest I entered. I had to think about what contest I had entered because if I see one come up on FB I usually enter it. I called the number & Sissy informed me that I had won the contest. I didn’t remember the prize or haven’t ever been in the store. I asked her what I had won and she was rather vague and said they wanted to restyle me from head to toe. I wasn’t sure if it was make-up, clothes or what. I made an appointment with her for 2:00 today. Then I went to the facebook page to read about the contest and it said it was a $500 in store credit. WAHOOOO! $500
I called Ricki instantly and asked her if she wanted to go with me and she said of course. I was so excited and was so glad I had made the appointment for sooner than later. I began to think maybe it wasn’t the $500 so I had to calm myself down and not expect too much. I would rather be surprised than disappointed.
4W Western posted on their FB page that I had won and I of course told everyone on my FB page that I had won. I could hardly wait! Who ever wins these contest. I was of the opinion that they just offer these contest to get everyone’s mailing addresses and never give away the prize.
Fast forward to today. I picked Ricki up and we headed to cowtown. We discussed the possibilities of what I might want to get. All the time I was cautious about expecting too much.
We were met by 3 fun ladies to help us. It was a western store with accessories, animal gear, home décor and clothes. The clothes weren’t western but young and contemporary. I was hoping they had something that fit me.
Ricki and I looked around the store and in a few minutes two guys from Channel 4 (KFOR) marketing team came by to congratulate me and I think sell some more advertising.
I asked one of the ladies again what was included in the prize and again she was pretty vague, just saying we want to outfit you head to toe but not exceeding $500.
After walking around I noticed they didn’t have any boots, check that one off my list. I did notice these shoes & these shoes. I got them both!!
I asked the ladies to pick out some jeans they liked and Ricki started hunting for things for me to try on. Ricki did a great job of trying to spend the money and took pictures along the way.
As I was trying clothes on Ricki took the items I liked to the desk & got it settled on how much I would be able to get. The sales girl started doing a tally.
These were the clothes I decided on. Aren’t they cute!!
Now for some jewelry!
This was the finished outfit. Shoe, jeans, blouse, necklace and earrings. They had to make the earrings to match while we were there.
I thought about getting Abby a new collar but they looked too chunky for her.
So after an hour and a half of looking and trying on I had decided on my final stash. If you know me it was hard to get it done in that amount of time. Decision making on clothes is not easy for me. After looking at these pictures I’m noticing a lot of stuff that I didn’t even see while I was there. Too much excitement and pressure. But I am a very happy girl with what I decided on.
See the red bag! It is a red tooled leather travel bag and it is gorgeous. Probably that and the brown shoes are my favorite.
OHHHHHHHHHHHH Happy Day!!!
