I have been very lazy the last month on my blog but hope to get back to it. I have been busy but it hasn't been too exciting.
Last week Don & I went to Kauai. It was a great trip and was good to get out of the cold weather.
Ricki took us to the airport at 4am (what a sister). We flew to Dallas, Phoenix and then Kauai. It was pouring rain in Kauai when we arrived. We stayed at the Marriott Kauai in Lihue less than 5 miles from the airport. Checked out our rental car and checked into the room. With a four hour time difference we were tired early. We unpacked, got groceries, ate a hamburger & went to bed early.
We were up early on Monday & it was a cloudy & rainy morning. Working out by 7:30. They had a great workout room but it was crowded.
This was the view out our room. We were up on the 4th floor & this was a roof above the 3rd floor with these plants. On Monday, we walked around the resort & up to the lighthouse. From some geocaches around the resort area. This was an adjustment day with jet lag and rain. We signed up for a Marriott presentation the next day. This time change was kicking our butt and we went to bed early again.
It was easier for us to get up early than it was to stay up until 10:00. Tuesday we were up early again to workout. After our shower we went to the Marriott presentation but I didn't care for the sales lady at all but we got $150 Marriott dollars that bought our dinner for most of the week. Went back to the lighthouse to find a geocache.
