Snow Day #2

Didn't leave the house again today because of the snow.

Woke up about 5:00 am and couldn't go back to sleep so I got up and started scanning picture. Mother and I are working on pictures & memorabilia of the McCombs & McGuffin families.

The sun was out & Don decided to shovel the driveway. I helped a little, very little.

I took a nap on the couch, which is very unusual for me and Don decided to take a picture.

Abby was snoozing in the sun, too.

The worst thing about snow days is I have gone two days without a SONIC COKE!!

State of Emergency

That was the message we were getting since last night. The whole state is shut down. Businesses, schools, government & stores are all closed.

The sleet started last night about 10:30 at our house. Snowed and blew all night.  These are the totals at noon today.

The state officials have asked everyone to stay off the roads if possible.  It is definitely possible for me! Most of the turnpikes and some of the interstates are closed. There has been nothing on TV except for the weather. That's the way we do it in OK.  We love our weather!   8 degrees, 30 mph wind & -21 degrees wind chill.  Tulsa has gotten 20 inches and still snowing.

Abby had some problems with wanting to outside this morning. Don had to sweep off the porch in front of the door for her to get out and then she just went out and peed and raced back in.  No poop!  Don took her out at noon and stayed with her and she finally took care of business. But she had snow on the nose when she came in.

My paperwhites are starting to bloom that I planted after Christmas.

Don thought that the paper wasn't delivered this morning but I saw an orange bag under the snow in the neighbors driveway so I thought they had. He went out to investigate.

Snow out our front window.

I think the worst is over & now for Wed and Thurs it will just be bitter cold.
